Famous Coffee Romance Moments

Famous Coffee Romance Moments

Most everyone has been on a coffee date because let's admit it, coffee is excellent, and it brings people together. As an aphrodisiac, coffee excites not just the body, but also the mind. It is no wonder that some of our favorite romantic movies have some iconic coffee moments in them.

Here are some of our favorite moments:

Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)

No one can forget the iconic moment of Holly Golightly's introduction with Coffee and Pastry in hand. It's our first introduction to the character and we can’t help but fall in love with her as she pulls coffee out a paper bag while dressed in her Sunday Best.

Gilmore Girls (2000-2007)

Anyone who is a fan a Gilmore Girls knows that ‘Luke’s Diner’ is a fixture in the show from the pilot episode. Lots of heartbreaking confessions and new relationships have been formed while coffee was poured in those charming mismatched cups.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

The awkward first meeting to top all awkward first meetings. Yet, it is magic. Ian clearly appreciates her humor and interest sparks in his eyes. All of this happens in the blink of an eye as Toula stands there, holding a pot of coffee.

You’ve Got Mail (1998)

Kathleen Kelly and Joe Fox certainly got off on the wrong foot. After a rocky conversation over coffee that left both confused and despondent. Kathleen confides in Joe, over a cup of joe, about her online mystery man…..who just happens to be Joe.

The Coffee Shop (2014)

Let’s not forget this cliche, but classic, love story about a desperate woman who is trying her best to save her dying coffee shop. She must take a chance with life and love as she fights to save her business.

Friends (1995)

Central Perk was, perhaps one of the most iconic coffee shops to ever appear on the big or small screen. No coffee fueled romance was quite as special as the romance between Ross and Rachel. When Ross finally worked up the nerve, the two sealed a caffeinated kiss that will forever remain in our hearts!
