[Recipe] Sparkling Green Tea with Ginger and Lemongrass

Happy New Year! How about a resolution that's healthy and tasty? Our Green Tea is infused with Essential Vitamins giving you a natural boost of energy and supporting your metabolism like a BOSS. So we thought, "How can this be even better?

I happen to have lemongrass growing outside of my kitchen, and this time of year ginger is a main staple in our house to combat winter-time flu season! To top it off, bubbles make it better.

And it's a great combo!

Sparkling Green Tea Ginger Lemongrass

Prep time: 10-15 minutes
Serves: 4-5

Syrup Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar (or substitute with Stevia)
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 stalks lemongrass
  • 2 inch piece ginger
Syrup Instructions:
Rough chop the ginger and lemongrass. If you have a mallet bash them all up a bit to release some of the oils. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat, cover and let sit until cool. Then strain out the ginger and lemongrass and bottle your syrup. Make sure to squeeze out all the goodness from the ginger and lemongrass before discarding.
Lemonade Ingredients:
  • 1 cup brewed VitaCup Green Tea
  • 1 cup lemongrass/ginger simple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups filtered water
  • Sparkling water to taste
Lemonade Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a pitcher with ice and stir to combine. Top individual glasses with sparkling water. For extra fizz.
This is a super great pitcher with super ingredients. Perfect to keep in the refrigerator for a few days, if entertaining guests, or to bring to a party.
