[Recipe] How to Make Cold Brew Coffee with VitaCup Coffee Pods

If you haven’t heard of Cold Brew Coffee by now, you might be living under a rock… This new style of brewing coffee without ever heating it is making its way around coffee circles like wildfire and we totally understand why! It’s SO EASY to do and it tastes UH-mazing.

What is Cold Brew Coffee?

Many people think that Cold Brew is simply hot coffee poured over ice. Just no. That’s Iced Coffee. Cold Brew is specifically made as a COLD drink and the coffee is never actually heated. You don’t even have to add ice if you don’t want your coffee diluted! Coffee grinds are combined with water, infused slowly over a 12-hour period, and then strained from the grinds to drink.

There are a few added perks to Cold Brew coffee over regular hot coffee:

  1. It is less acidic than coffee brewed with hot water
  2. It has a less bitter taste than regular coffee
  3. It is simple to make yourself at home
  4. It stays fresher longer than hot coffee
  5. You can easily adjust the taste and strength by changing the coffee to water ratio
  6. If you leave out the ice cubes, you no longer have to drink watery iced coffee
  7. When you use VitaCup vitamin-infused coffee pods, you’re also getting the added benefit of our essential blend of vitamins in each cup (B1, B5, B6, B9, B12, D3, and antioxidants!)
